Sample letter requesting a new quote or business Quotation from supplier.

Hello Candace,

I have just met with my colleagues and presented them the first and second quotation you sent me last Monday. After much discussion, we are not satisfied with the current quote as it is. May I kindly request again for a quotation with these updated specifications:

Project A:

size: 7in x 11.25 (folded)
paper: newsprint (the cheapest you have)
ink: just black (one color, the cheapest)
cover: Foldcote (one color)
perfect binding.
pages: 200 pages (not including cover)
quotation for 500 and 1000 copies.

Project B
size: 5.5in x 7 (folded)
paper: newsprint (the cheapest you have)
ink: just black (one color, the cheapest)
cover: Foldcote( one color)
perfect binding.
pages: 50 pages (not including cover)
quotation for 500 and 1000 copies.

Also please include how many days you need to complete the printing after the submission of the layout. Thanks!

Letter of Estimate and Price Quotation for Contractors

A sample letter to give your client an idea of the overall cost of the project, this is like an offer letter detailing an estimate before the client engages your services.

Dear Ma'am,

I estimate that construction of a patio as an addition to your house at 500 Magnolia Drive in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by James Singh, architect which you have referred to me will be $1,200.25

The estimate does not include building permits and man hours for their work. Please note this is only for the materials and my consultation services.

This is also not a contract or offer for you to enter into a contract. It is our mutual convenience in considering a possible contract.

This estimate is based on current market prices of necessary materials and present costs for the wood and tiles that will be mounted in place. Accordingly, the estimate will need to be reviewed if you decide not to enter a contract with me within 30 days.

I would be pleased to discuss the estimate with you at your convenience. I can also give you a detailed list of the estimate per material, so you may compare with local hardware and contractor prices.
